検定資格者としての役割
○1級検定合格警備員の役割

1級検定合格警備員が、資格者配置を求められる種別の現場に配置された場合には
①委託者との交渉・折衝能力、②部下の指導教育能力、③現場統率能力、④業務実施中の適切な判断能力等が必要とされる。
警備業者を代表して警備業務全般にわたり、当該現場における統括管理者としての役割が期待さている。
○2級検定合格警備員の役割
2級検定合格警備員は、当該警備業務を適正に実施するために必要な専門的な知識、能力を備えた警備員として位置付けられている。したがって、２級検定合格警備員は常に自らの資質の向上に努め、人格の陶冶を図るとともに、部下の指導及び教育に当たらなければならない。
2級検定合格警備員が資格者配置を求められる種別の現場に配置された場合には
①部下指導能力、②業務実施中の適切な判断能力等が必要とされる。
警備業務全般にわたり、当該現場におけるリーダーとしての役割が期待さている。
今後の法改正（配置義務見直し）に伴う必要性による役割の拡大
